Located in the oldest part of Knaresborough, the Grade II listed 16th Century former stable block, hidden away in the cobbled courtyard of the historic and haunted Royal Oak Coaching Inn, re-opened its doors in 2009 and is already attracting re-bookings from guests who have been overwhelmingly delighted with its location, design and the quality of the restoration work.

The deeds of the property dating back to 1726 record the first known payment for an overnight stay at the Inn and the cottages are still accessed through the very same archway off the old Harrogate-Boroughbridge toll road.
Two unique and highly desirable designer cottages are available - Shire Cottage sleeps up to 6 guests and Dray Cottage up to 4.
